What's Included

What We Provide in Liner Installation.

A chimney liner is the safety barrier between flue gases and your masonry — and the wrong liner is worse than none. We install only UL-listed 316Ti stainless and heavy-gauge flex liners, every joint sealed, every install backed by a lifetime warranty.

01

Stainless Steel Liner

316Ti stainless rigid liners — UL-listed, lifetime-warranted, and rated for wood, gas, oil, or pellet stoves. The gold standard for safe, code-compliant flue lining.

02

Flex Liner Install

Where rigid won't fit — offset chimneys, curved flues, tight clearances — we install heavy-gauge flex liners that bend without restricting draft. Same lifetime warranty, full UL listing.

03

Insulation Wrap

Ceramic blanket insulation surrounding your liner. Keeps flue gases hot enough to vent properly, prevents condensation, and eliminates dangerous condensate buildup. Required for many install types.

04

Code Replacement

Old clay tile cracked? Failed an inspection? Insurance demanding upgrade? We pull the old liner, sweep the masonry shell, and install a code-stamped replacement with full paperwork.

Why Choose Us

Built on safety, precision, and lasting craftsmanship.

Chimney cleaning is more than a service — it's a responsibility. From the first inspection to the last vacuum sweep, we treat every fireplace like it's our own home.

The Chimneys Empire Promise

We won't talk you into a service you don't need. After every sweep we'll show you the camera footage, point at exactly what we cleaned, and give you straight answers about what's next — every time.

"Annual cleaning has been done by Chimneys Empire three years running now. Same crew every time, and they remember our chimney's quirks — the offset flue, the tight smoke chamber. That kind of consistency is rare. Worth every dollar."

When does my chimney need a new liner?
When the existing clay tile liner is cracked, broken, or missing. When you're changing fuel type (e.g. converting to gas). When the flue is oversized for a new high-efficiency appliance. When an inspection finds spalled liner pieces on the smoke shelf. Or when insurance requires it after a chimney fire.
What's the difference between rigid and flex liners?
Rigid (smooth-wall) stainless liners offer better draft and easier cleaning — ideal for straight flues. Flex liners bend through offsets and curves where rigid won't fit. Both are UL-listed and equally safe; we recommend based on your chimney's actual geometry.
Do I need insulation around my liner?
In most cases, yes. Insulation keeps flue gases hot enough to vent properly, prevents corrosive condensation, and is required for many appliance manufacturers' warranty coverage. We always quote with and without insulation so you can see the value.
How long does a liner install take?
A standard single-flue stainless liner install with insulation takes 4–6 hours. Flex liners through complex offsets can take a full day. Multi-flue or large commercial liners may require two days. We always provide a written timeline before booking.
What's the warranty on your liner installs?
Every UL-listed stainless liner we install carries a manufacturer lifetime warranty against defect or failure. Our workmanship is also backed by a lifetime guarantee — if anything we install fails to perform, we make it right.
How much does a chimney liner install cost?
Standard residential stainless liner installs typically run $1,800–$4,500 depending on chimney height, flue diameter, insulation, and roof access. Flex liners and complex offsets cost more. Free written quote within 24 hours of inspection.
Will you handle the permits and inspection sign-off?
Yes. We pull all required permits, file the install paperwork with your municipality, and coordinate with the inspector for sign-off. You receive copies of everything for your records.
Can a chimney liner be installed in winter?
Yes — liners can be installed year-round. We work in any weather conditions Connecticut throws at us. Off-season installs (spring/summer) typically have shorter lead times and may be slightly cheaper.
